I look forward to meeting you too, Judy & Mo(my very 1st girlfriend in 1969 was nicknamed Mo!).  I really enjoy Palm Springs and one day I hope to buy a small place there.  I have been travelling solo for the last 5 years & believe it or not, I still enjoy being solo.  I had not had the solo experience since being 17 years of age. Time on my own started at the age of 50 and now I find myself 55 years young!  Every day is a bonus and I'm am thankful for each moment...... Cheers, Mary

Mary, hope to meet you when on the cruise.  My partner and I live across the street from Mission Hills and we are members there.  We just moved down to Rancho Mirage a year ago.  I grew up and lived in Seattle until 1975 when I moved to CA.  Looking forward to meeting you.

Hi ladies.... thankyou for the info. on the Hard Rock, Westin, & checking in for the cruise.  I am leaning towards booking the Westin as I own a time share @ Mission Hills, Palm Springs.  Usually, I can use points/bonuses to get an affordable room.  I also like to add some days before or after a cruise, to make the holiday @ least 10 days.

When we did this cruise last year the Westin was the host hotel. They have really nice rooms and the staff was very nice. There's a patio on the roof that has comfy chairs where you can sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. For those of use at the Hard Rock when it comes time to go the ship plan on standing in line a long time to get a cab. we waited about 30 min. You either wait at the hotel or you wait to get inside to check it. Either way it's a long wait. Once inside they wind you around like in Disney and that seems to take about an hour. Wear comfortable shoes that you can stand.

I got a pretty good rate at the westin which is a mile down the road...$199 for the night. Looks like a nice place too!
