When we went to Columbus Isle with Olivia a couple of years ago we used frequent flyer miles to get to a neighboring island, spent the night in a 3 star hotel that was a DIVE (insects everywhere) and then flew BahamasAir to columbus Isle.  My advice is stay overnight in FL if you have to do an overnight...Bahamas 3 star is definitely not close to american 3 star...Coming from the West Coast an overnight is pretty much mandatory...

I thought that the food was good!  Pool was small but makes it good to meet other people.  We never do excursions basically stay at the resort.  There is so much to do we never really wanted to leave.  There are three restaurants on site.  I am having a hard time uploading my pictures but if you would like to see them go to www.snapfish.com  log in - our email address is mjeanandmichelle@aol.com and our password is 101862 You will see our albums, feel free to view all of them - Let me know if you have any problems. Since you've been there before what did you think of Columbus Isle?  Food, excursions, entertainment, etc....If you don't mind me asking.

the last time that we went with Olivia we also flew into Ft. Lauderdale, stayed at the host hotel and took the charter over because it was much cheaper than going direct.  I do think that Olivia will transfer you from the airport on your day of arrival no matter how you get there.  Ladies wait till you see how close the airport is to the resort...  It is really funny..  You can walk it,,,,  As a matter of fact - I would go walking with the Club Med staff in the morning and we would walk right by the airport...

From Buffalo to San Salvador Bahamas was $1752.30, leaving Buffalo at 7:30 am on the first and arriving in San Salvador on the second at 11:30a, and with layovers in DC, Miami, and Nassau.....which is why I opted for flying to Ft Lauderdale and taking the Charter. Even with the hotel stayover it was much much cheaper. I can get a flight for $124.00, charter for 399.00, and the hotel for $165.00.

However I should tell you that this was not my first attempt at these reservation. I too tried to go directly to San Salvador. My first attempt at reservations went real well with a price of $850.00; that was until I realized that the reservations were for San Salvador in El Salvador not the Bahamas.....good thing I was awake and paying attention that day. 

Why dont you check with Olivia to make sure that the Group Code they published is correct. It's odd: "OLVOLVA" !! Possible typo in it???
